In September 2008 formadesign UK Ltd were proud to be awarded runner up for Best International Retail Interior for their design and implementation of the Billabong Barcelona store. This achievement was won against an international short list of ten stores from around the globe that included projects and design consultants from Mumbai, Singapore, New Jersey, Hong Kong and many more. An approach that took the tiled and contorted buildings of local architectural hero Gaudi as a spring-board for aspects of both the furniture and build design then made them part of its interior. High critical acclaim for the store design was affirmed when it quickly became the brands top performing store across Europe.
